Yes, there are specialty restaurants and coffee shops, but they are not needed to eat like a king or queen!
Traveling with a passport or passport card is ideal. If you do not have that, you do need proof of citizenship (the original or certified copy of your birth certificate) and identification (driver’s license); US citizens under 16 years old do not need a driver’s license, just the proof of citizenship. If you are a citizen of a country outside the U.S., please check with the consulate of your country to determine exactly what is needed to visit the United States and the Bahamas.
Royal Caribbean offers VOOM® high-speed internet throughout the ship, allowing guests to browse the web, check email, use social media, video chat, and stream content while sailing.
Pricing is not a fixed amount and varies based on the package selected, the number of devices, and when the package is purchased. Royal Caribbean recommends purchasing VOOM before the cruise through the Cruise Planner, where guests can often receive a lower rate than the onboard price. Packages are available for multiple devices, and one-day access may also be offered onboard.
Because rates and promotions can change, we recommend checking your Royal Caribbean Cruise Planner or Royal Caribbean App before sailing for the most current pricing available for Megan & Chance’s cruise.
NONE! You do not need to spend a penny after registering and paying gratuities. Royal Caribbean will have opportunities to spend money on items and experiences not included, but SO much is included! Everyone can enjoy a luxurious vacation without spending additional money

Complimentary Beverages
Your cruise fare also includes several basic beverages, such as:
- Tap water
- Tea
- Select juices

Premium coffees, bottled water, soft drinks, cocktails, beer, wine, fresh-squeezed juices, and other specialty beverages are generally available for purchase individually or through an optional beverage package.
For an extra-special meal during Megan & Chance’s celebration, Star of the Seas also offers a variety of specialty restaurants for an additional charge, including Chops Grille, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, Hooked Seafood, Izumi Hibachi & Sushi, Lincoln Park Supper Club, and more. Sodas, alcoholic beverages, bottled water, freshly squeezed orange juice, and specialty coffees.
Royal Caribbean currently charges a daily service gratuity of $18.50 per guest, per day for standard staterooms and $21.00 per guest, per day for suites. If gratuities are not prepaid before sailing, they are automatically added to your SeaPass® account each day.
You do not need to tip each crew member individually. Royal Caribbean pools the daily gratuities and distributes them among the onboard team members who help make your cruise experience special, including dining, culinary, stateroom, and hotel service staff.
Additional gratuities are automatically added to certain purchases, including 18% on beverages, beverage packages, specialty dining, room service, and minibar purchases, and 20% on spa and salon services. Additional personal tipping for exceptional service is always optional.
Please note: Megan & Chance’s group rates do not include gratuities. Because their sailing is in November 2027, Royal Caribbean’s gratuity rates are subject to change before departure, so guests should confirm the current amount closer to sailing.
Yes. Star of the Seas offers multiple ways to stay connected during your cruise.
While at sea, compatible mobile phones can connect through Royal Caribbean’s Cellular at Sea service. Any calls, texts, or mobile data used this way are billed according to your cellular provider’s international or maritime roaming rates, which can be significantly higher than normal domestic charges. Royal Caribbean recommends checking with your carrier before sailing to understand available travel plans and pricing.
For internet access, Star of the Seas offers Royal Caribbean’s VOOM® Wi-Fi powered by Starlink. VOOM can be used throughout the ship for web browsing, email, social media, messaging, video calls, streaming, and other online activities. Packages can be purchased for the full sailing, and one-day access may also be available. Royal Caribbean recommends purchasing Wi-Fi in advance through the Cruise Planner, where pricing is often better than onboard rates.
If you plan to use apps such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, iMessage, or Facebook Messenger, connecting through VOOM Wi-Fi can help you stay in touch without relying on cellular roaming.
Travel Tip: To avoid unexpected roaming charges while at sea, consider putting your phone in Airplane Mode and then turning Wi-Fi back on to connect to VOOM. Check with your mobile carrier before the cruise for any international coverage you may have while visiting CocoCay, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.
